not a very exciting error.

Game crashed "thrown unknown exception"

drinking pea soup on the world map while stressed, poisoned, hungry. Not sure what other details are relevant.

Thanks.

Hmm, been a long time since there was an actual error around here. What version are you using?

Holy shit! Drinking pea soup on the worldmap crashes the game! I figure it's caused by the gas created from drinking it.

Tested in .50 and LIVAN. I don't know how they missed this.

Hahaha, new bug!

I can see how it breaks the game, and how it could be missed. Pea soup creates a cloud of gas when you consume it (you fart), which would clearly not work on the WM, hence gamedeath. In addition players are not often on the world map, and if they are and have to eat odds are they're in serious trouble anyways. Compound with this the rareness of pea soup and you have a missed bug.

Wow, quite a discovery.

I had that same error, without any pea soup involved, and in UT1.

I just found a pair of broken mithril boots and had a scroll of repair

Other details: just started, so no special status, very low AStr/LStr (No idea if that would matter), i think it was Astr 8 and Lstr 7.

Trying to figure it out in wizard mode

EDIT: I wasn't able to reconstruct it...

cool, a new bug
Isn't there a known scroll of repair bug?

If you read it with a corpse in your inventory, I believe.

This works ('works' meaning it actually stops working), so i guess it was that bug indeed . any reason for it?

Maybe corpses are considered broken, yet not supposed to show up on the repair menu, so the game gets confused enough to break over it?

Ischaldirh

That would be awesome if you could "repair" a broken corpse and bring it back to life.

Or if you could repair a corpse, so it was just a body, and than defibrilate it with a wand of lightning.

Defibrillation sounds like something the devs would have wanted put in eventually but hadn't meant to work on just yet. It's sad they never got to it.

Also, there should be a construction skill/ability/possibility/anvil/workbench or whatever, so you can construct stuff like a defibrillator from a wand of lightning, some copper/iron daggers, and a long wooden (or otherwise isolating) shaft to hold it. And maybe some belts to keeb everything together.
Could act as an Electric Duodent (what's a trident with 2 dents called?) at the same time.

Seriously now, in my humble opinion it would be a lot of work to code construction, but it would be awesome...

Hahaha, topic derailment.

A "two pronged trident" is probably more of a military fork by definition.
