Actually, how do you become a chamion of any god?

Haven't played IVAN for long and haven't played it much even before, but still like it!

Hi, welcome

Read their books and pray to them, but be careful not to pray too frequently. Also, once you choose a god who you want to gain favor with, make sure you only worship gods that have a similar alignment. You can't gain favor with both a chaotic and a lawful god at the same time, for example.

The most helpful thing is to 'o'ffer items at their altar though. If you know what kind of materials or objects they like, and are willing to sacrifice them, you can gain favor really quickly. For example, Mortifer really likes scythes.

I learned this though Trial and Error..

Silva - goddess of nature enjoys offerings of SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
banana flesh

After a while I was named her champion.

But yeah..reading the books....praying every 6-8 hours in game.
pray sooner and they tend to get mad......Even if it was for a single leg....or....arm....
Get them pissed off and...well......put the pieces together.

Thanks!

I think I'll go neutral for the next game. I pretty like Loricatus, even though he nearly killed me the last time, changing my weapon to banana flesh. I suppose it was because of my prayers to Seges. Actually, maybe Loricatus just wanted to help me and give me some food, in his special way...

You joke but that's actually a good tactic to survive if you're ever on the verge of starving

Indeed it is. Assuming you are holding a random chest instead of your Neerc +10 in your hands when you make Loricatus angry...

Hmmm if you get your neerc turned into bannana flesh can you then SOCM it to a different material? Would be a nice exploit to get an adamantine Neerc +10.

Does anyone have the balls to try it in a real game (non-wizmode). I would cry if I lost My Neerc. Ive only gotten it once, but it is a beast.

I really doubt the SoCM prohibition is tied to the material Neerc spawns with; more likely it's just an innate property of the item. Having one turn into banana flesh would just mean you've got an evil life-swallowing banana mace. Not that I've tried it, or even checked the script entry more closely.

Once you have the balls, you just walk out of town and claim victory.
