Mortifer

Mortifer is the Destroyer of Worlds. His alignment is C-- (extremely chaotic)

Praying

As with Valpurus, you should only pray to Mortifer after being called his Champion. Once you are his champion, he will reward you with a "heavy weapon of pure corruption", which is the ancient mace named Neerc Se-Ulb. Unlike most artifact weapons, Neerc Se-Ulb is always enchanted +6 by default. Neerc Se-Ulb has a life-draining attack that kicks in every once in a while, which transfers hit points from the victim to the wielder. Using Neerc Se-Ulb will also cause the wielder to gradually become more chaotic.

He may also send an angel or Erado, his Archangel, to assist you.

If you are not his Champion, a bolt of black energy will hit you, which wounds you and possibly destroys some of your equipment. If he is extremely angry, he may also send an angel to destroy you.

Altars

There are no fixed locations for Mortifer's altar; you may find it randomly in the Underwater Tunnels or Gloomy Caves

Aligned Items

Offering these items to Mortifer at his altar will result in a greater bonus towards your relation with Him:

Scythe, Neerc Se-ulb, Crystal Skull

Simple Bones and Skulls are ignored, but materials such as ommel bone and crystalized skulls are greatly appreciated. Bone weapons or armor can also be used as gifts.
