Books of *god* are books, that open a channel from PC to the god the book is about by teaching you the magical rites concerning that god. After you've read the book, you can pray to the god. Effect is similar as to walking to an altar. Books come in three different colours; yellow for lawful, blue for neutral and red for chaotic. Each time you read a book, your alignment shifts towards the faction of the book. Reading books and scrolls also increases your wisdom and intelligence. It might also make the god a bit friendlier towards you, though the effect is not as radical as offerings have. After you've read the book enough, it disappears.
